Clarkson team still in the running with one day of fishing left

pWADDINGTON — A field of 149 teams has been whittled down to 12 after two days of bass fishing on the St. Lawrence River. /ppClarkson University, the host of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Northeast Regional, still has a team in the running. /ppThe president and founder of the school’s Bass Fishing Club , Ben Seaman and his partner Dan Piraino are in seventh position with a total of 47 pounds, one ounce. The two brought in the limit of 10 fish over the two days with 24 pounds, 14 ounces Wednesday and 22 pounds three ounces Thursday./ppToday, the top twelve teams will fish again and bring their catch to the Potsdam campus of Clarkson University for the final weigh-in beginning at 2:30 p.m. /ppThe top 15 finishers of first two day of fishing all qualify for the national championship tournament. /ppThe top team after two days is Logan Parks and Lucas Lindsay of Auburn University with 49 pounds, two ounces. /ppThe best performing school is Adrian College of southern Michigan with teams in fifth, sixth and 14th position. /p
