Cat benefit set in Malone

pMALONE — People will find themselves dancing for a cause in Malone on June 21, for a fundraiser to help Focus of Ferals Inc. Animal Rescue./ppThe Second Annual “Kitty Zumba Benefit” is to help with the medical costs incurred for the rescued cats and kittens at Focus on Ferals and The Cat Palace. /ppThis event will be taking place at 6 p.m. at Holy Family School, 12 Homestead Park./ppTickets for the Zumba portion of the event are $15 at the door./ppRebecca Vaincourt said participants in the fundraiser will get to participate in Zumba, a form of fitness dance that’s popular in the Malone and surrounding areas. /ppA bake sale, 50/50, and Chinese auction raffle will be available. Or just stop in and meet some of the rescued furry felines. /pp“It’s a lot of fun for a good, positive reason,” she said./ppVolunteers at Focus on Ferals and the Cat Palace have rescued over 100 kittens in addition to the adult cats in the past two months. /ppAll donations are tax-deductible. Doors open at 5 p.m./p
